Heritage Pointe Communities announces 2020 Scholarship Winners

Heritage Pointe Communities (United Methodist Memorial Home), with its home office located in Warren, Indiana, is proud to announce that McKayla Alspach, Shari Conatser and Cassidy Gray from Heritage Pointe of Warren were awarded scholarships from the Souder Memorial Education Fund for 2020. The employees are furthering their education in the field of Nursing. McKayla and Shari will be attending Ivy Tech Community College and Cassidy will attend West Liberty University in West Virginia.

Two other employees from Heritage Pointe of Warren, Anyah McKinney and Gabrielle Stell, were awarded scholarships from the Souder Memorial Education Fund and the Verna Johnson Nursing Scholarship Fund. Anyah and Gabrielle will both attend Ivy Tech Community College in Marion to pursue Nursing degrees.

Mandi Wittwer, who is employed at Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne, was awarded a scholarship from the Souder Memorial Education Fund and the Verna Johnson Nursing Scholarship Fund. Mandi is pursuing an RN to BSN degree from Indiana University-Fort Wayne.

The United Methodist Memorial Home is also pleased to announce that Brianna Shane, who is pursuing a Nursing degree at Huntington University, was selected as the recipient of the United Methodist Memorial Home / Huntington University scholarship for 2020. Brianna is the daughter of Dawn Shane who is the Admissions Coordinator at Heritage Pointe of Warren.

The Souder Memorial Education Fund is in honor of Dr. and Mrs. D.C. Souder and Philip and Barbara Souder for their leadership and service to the residents and employees of Heritage Pointe Communities.

The Verna Johnson Nursing Scholarship was established by Mrs. Verna Johnson who was a resident of Heritage Pointe of Warren for several years and had the desire to help others with their nursing career.

The United Methodist Memorial Home does business as Heritage Pointe of Warren, Heritage Pointe of Huntington, and Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne. Heritage Pointe Communities congratulates all of the scholarship recipients as they pursue their careers in the field of Nursing.
